Manager’s Response:

Manager’s Response:

I would like to thank all the resident’s who participated in Shandford’s Quality Audit. As you can see from the results above, most of you thought the service provided was to a very good standard. However, there is always room for improvement.

Most of you are happy with the service that the staff provide. However, some of you have raised issues about staff - if you have any problems, please feel free to speak with me at any time and I will address any concerns that you have.

Quite a lot of you have requested that we re-introduce some form of exercise and I will look at employing an appropriate member of staff in 2008.

We are aware that the exit onto the Main road is not ideal – however enquiries were made several years ago to change the access to Shandford, and unfortunately this is not possible. We do appreciate that care needs to be taken when leaving the Home.

Some of you had concerns that staff were not always answering the doorbell promptly – recently we have replaced the door entry system so staff can hear the bell more clearly around the Home.

This year we have replaced the roof at Shandford and have updated bedroom furniture in some rooms. We have purchased a 40” digital widescreen television in the Main lounge and next year we plan to replace the chairs in the Main lounge. There are still some areas in the Home that we would like to improve, funding permitted.

Surveys will be conducted annually so that the quality of the service we offer can be measured and improved. However if any resident has any concern, or they would like to speak to me at any time, they may do so. Alternatively, you may raise any issues at our regular residents meetings.
Thank you once again.

Susan Bissett
Manager
