Detailed below are the results of the Annual Quality Audit carried out in October 2010 from visiting Professionals (GP's, District Nurses, Chiropodists, Optician & Dentist) and other external services.

• It is very evident that the staff are committed to their work and take time and care in their communication with residents.

Do you feel the facilities at Shandford meet your needs when you visit the Home?

Any other comments:
- At one of my sessions I would like the residents to lie on the floor for some yoga, I would need the help of one person to help people get down/up. I will discuss in the future.

- Unpleasant odour in hall only
- Shandford is my favourite home of the many homes I have visited as a yoga teacher and as a social worker organising discharges from RD&E.

- You feel the residents are consulted and involved and are respected as individuals. There is also a sense of community.
- The staff have seemed very busy recently, sickness/absence

Are there any other comments you wish to make regarding the Management of the Home?

- The management are accessible
- The staff are well informed and a senior member of staff is always available to accompany the GP.
- There is a low staff turnover which suggests a well managed and happy work environment, it also provides continuity of care.
- I always find it a pleaseure to work with all the staff.

In your view, what aspects, if any, of our Home need improvements?

- It's a real pleaseure to visit the residents and staff at Shandford.
- The management and staff are always very friendly and helpful to me, the Home is always very welcoming.
- No improvements are apparent.
- I enjoy working at Shandford and I know the residents enjoy working with me.
