IMPROVEMENTS AND FUNDRAISING

In recent years over £500,000 has been spent on improving the standard of accommodation for residents.

In 2001, a new wing was opened with 7 large en-suite rooms and an upstairs Resident's Lounge overlooking the gardens and the nearby Green.

Further improvements were completed in 2003 when the lounge and dining room were extended and refurbished. They are both now bright and spacious rooms for all the residents to enjoy.

Two more ensuite rooms and a new disabled toilet were also added at this time.

In 2006 we carried out our final phase of major refurbishment. Eight bedrooms were upgraded to include en-suite facilities and a further assisted bath was installed in a new bathroom.

All these improvements have been made possible by the hard work of our Fundraising Committee and the generosity of local people who support our events.

We are also very fortunate to receive donations: both regular, one-off donations and legacies.

'The Lion's Den' -
The Summerhouse in the grounds which was repaired and redecorated with money raised by the Lions Club of Budleigh Salterton. We are very grateful for the continued support of Budleigh Lions.
